We've another witch in the family! The Full Moon Sunday marked my eldest son's Wiccaning.

It was a beautiful ceremony. He was so excited throught out the entire Rite; he never stopped smiling.

The Rite was simple, as is only appropriate with a 4 year old, but he paid attention very closely, listening to everything that was said and watching everything that was done.

All went very well. The Eastern Quarter altar was toppled over at some point (some how we missed that...) and my son's cloak almost went up in flames (a multi-generational heirloom, luckily the flames just licked at it and didn't catch!)

Hours after the Ceremony, after my son was already put to bed, I went to check on him. He was still awake: smiling and looking at his necklace, the gift he received to commemorate this event.
